Founding partner Deborah Berlach currently the Managing Partner specializes in professional liability, including Directors and Officers liability, health law, employment law and class actions.
Deborah represents clients at all levels of Court in Ontario, as well as before various administrative tribunals. Her focus is on complex actions, including medical negligence, products lability, class actions and coverage litigation. Deborah has conducted a number of trials defending hospitals, health care professionals, directors and officers, financial professionals and Employers.
She has spoken extensively on Directors and Officers liability, health law, trial practice, and coverage at the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers, Defence Research Institute and the Advocates’ Society.
In addition, she has conducted a number of loss controls seminars for professional associations, and has run and participated in client training programs throughout her career.
Deborah obtained her Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Civil Law Degrees from McGill University in 1982.
