Ms. Nadiya Sarguroh joined MZM Legal in 2017 as an Associate and has been promoted to the designation of a Senior Associate within 18 months of her joining. She been actively working with Mr. Waseem Pangarkar, Senior Partner at MZM Legal in handling various complex Dispute Resolution and Corporate Litigation cases. At MZM Legal Nadiya has been working on number of Domestic and International Arbitrations. She has represented many large corporates, financial institutions, small and medium size enterprises, etc before the National Company Law Tribunal alongwith representing the IRP/RP in the CIRP & liquidation process etc.
Nadiya has also advised business conglomerates, corporations, corporate houses on the Corporate Secretarial and Regulatory aspects and has defended them before various courts in India. Nadiya regularly appears before High Courts, NCLTs, Tribunals, Quasi- Judicial bodies, and other regulatory authorities. Nadiya’s has an experience of 7 years as a practising legal attorney. Her journey started in the year 2013 from chamber practice where she worked with an independent lawyer known in handling civil and matrimonial cases. After gaining significant experience in handling appellate and trial court matters Nadiya moved to a Law firm culture with an aim to learn and enhance her experience. She joined Naik Naik & Co (“NNCO”) in the year 2015 and was majorly handling the practice areas of Media & Entertainment and Dispute Resolution.
After leaving NNCO, Nadiya worked with Bombay Dyeing as an In-house lawyer and has actively handled the Retail and Real Estate Sector working on various Intellectual Property cases, Domestic and International Dispute Resolution Matters, Corporate Litigation and Regulatory Matters.
Nadiya has obtained a master’s degree in Intellectual Property Rights and a Post Graduate Diploma in Alternate Dispute Resolution from the University of Mumbai. Nadiya has an experience of over 4 years in teaching subjects such as Advertising Laws, Business Laws, Industrial Laws, and Intellectual Property Laws at various reputed colleges all over Mumbai. Recently Nadiya has also judged the Negotiation Rounds at National ADR Triathlon 2020 hosted by the Government Law College Mumbai.
