I am a Counsel at the Law firm CBA Studio Legale e Tributario based in Milan.
Since 2005 I have been registered to the Register of Lawyers of Milan (Albo degli Avvocati di Milano) working in the areas of intellectual property, data protection and litigation, e-commerce and new technologies.
I mainly assist multinational companies and Internet platforms in the main issues of commercial law, data protection and cybersecurity, including global policies and infra-group agreements, and I support clients in their current activity, in the creation of management models for the processing of personal and particular categories of data pursuant to Regulation No. 679/2016 (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), in the drafting of Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and in case of inspection and investigations by the Italian Data Protection Authority.
I act on a relevant number of contentious matters in front of the Italian Data Protection Authority and in front of the Civil Court on privacy and data protection matters, and in requests for compensation of damages.
I also support Italian and foreign clients in their international trade transactions related to the valuation of trademarks, patents, designs, and domain names. In particular, I advise in the negotiation and drafting of licensing and transfer agreements for trademarks, patents, protection of know-how and intellectual property protected by copyright, technology transfer, edition and software issues, merchandising, and sponsorship.
I follow civil proceedings on IP issues (trademarks, patents, domain names, and industrial design and unfair competition) and I also engage in extrajudicial activities which focus on international issues and involve specific cross-border aspects. I also assist clients with reference to the aspects of intellectual property law within M&A transactions.
Furthermore, I have a twenty-year experience in corporate compliance pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 231/01 (“Discipline of the administrative liability of legal persons, companies and associations, including those without legal personality pursuant to article 11 of Law No. 300 of 29 September 2000”), also as Member of Supervisory Boards established pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 231/01.
In 2018, I obtained ISO certification UNI 11697: 2017 – Data Protection Officer. I currently hold this office within national and multinational entities in the following areas: law firms, fashion industry, Life Science, and healthcare.I act as a speaker for the Milan Bar Association (Ordine degli Avvocati di Milano) and other institutional bodies.
I take part in conferences and provide training courses which focus on Legislative Decree No. 231/01 and Regulation No. 679/2016.
I have contributed to the drafting of professional publications with leading publishing houses on e-commerce and privacy.
