Iva Basaric
Iva Basarić is a Co-chair of Babić & Partners’ competition/antitrust practice and a Co-chair of Babić & Partners’ Corporate and M&A practice. She holds an LLM from the University of San Francisco School of Law, and Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College London.
Iva’s contentious experience in competition practice includes advising and representing clients on a broad spectrum of issues, including merger control, cartel investigations and leniency, competition compliance programs, abuse proceedings and distribution and licensing arrangements across national and multinational industries. She has led several internal compliance training programs for clients.
As part of her corporate and M&A area, she routinely advises clients on a wide spectrum of corporate law issues — from day-to-day corporate maintenance to complex domestic and cross-border transactions (both on sell and buy-side), providing full range of services, from transaction structuring and negotiation to implementation, as well as post-acquisition integration, spin-offs, mergers and corporate restructurings.
She has authored a number of articles for a variety of external legal publications, and is also a frequent speaker and guest panellist at conferences on competition, corporate law and real estate issues and developments, including speaker engagements at the International Bar Association’s conferences.
Marija Gregorić
Marija Gregorić is the Chair of Babić & Partners’ Employment practice and a Co-Chair of the Firm’s Corporate and M&A practice. For more than 20 years she has advised international clients from wide spectrum of sectors, including automotive, consumer goods & retail, energy & resources, pharmaceutical, private equity, technology & telecommunications, within two main areas of law, one being employment and the other corporate law.
As part of her employment practice, she regularly advises multinational corporates on all of their employment needs, from day-to-day human resources requirements, including recruitment and terminations, employment benefits, to critical global business change projects, collective redundancies and labour litigation, whistleblowing and data privacy compliance, employee mobility and business immigration, workplace investigations and workforce restructuring.
She is equally at home in structuring, negotiating and implementing a variety of mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and private equity transactions. She represented a number of prominent multinational companies (as buyers or sellers) in sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions.
Marija frequently speaks at seminars and conferences for attorneys and provides in-house trainings. She has published numerous articles in various legal magazines and publications including Thomson Reuters, Law Business Research, DataGuidance, CEE Legal Matters, IBA newsletter, and more.
