Ms. Wilches is a well-known expert in administrative, taxation, labour and employment law. Due to her experience and reputation, she leads these practice areas within Chapman & Asociados Abogados Law firm. She also has wide experience in conducting labour administrative proceedings before the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in Colombia, and in providing juridical counseling to national and international companies concerning labor-oriented issues, as well as administrative and tax law.
Ms. Wilches is a member of national and international institutions such as the Colombian Institute of Tax Law, the International Bar Association and the International Organization of Employers.
In addition, she has partaken in different summits, meetings, seminars and conferences regarding up-to-date legal framework on employment and labour law around the world. In fact, she was selected by the Colombian Government to be part of the employers’ commission to attend the 105th International Labour Conference conducted by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland on May 30, 2016.
Besides, Ms. Wilches participated in the Global Forum on Migration and Development, which took place at the UN headquarters in New York on July 18, 2016. In this event, she actively led the panel called “The need for international skills mobility”, in which she presented the Colombian perspective about this crucial and global issue. Moreover, she participated in the follow-up event which took place in Dhaka, Bangladesh in December 2016.
Ms. Wilches is a lawyer from Universidad del Norte. She also has a specialization in Tax Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the same university.
