Carine Van Regenmortel is the Managing Partner of ALTIUS, an independent, full-service law firm with offices in Brussels, Antwerp and Luxembourg. She is also head of the Corporate and M&A team.
She specialises in corporate law and has a strong reputation for handling mergers and acquisitions and real-estate transactions. She also deals with private-equity clients, advising on early-stage and follow-on investments, recapitalisations and exits.
Carine is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the ELSA Lawyers’ Association. She speaks occasionally at conferences on selected topics of corporate law.
Carine obtained a Licence in Law (Antwerp University, 1983) and a Special degree in European law (College of Europe, Bruges, 1984). She also obtained a European Young Lawyers’ Scheme (British Council, London, 1988). She has been a member of the Brussels bar since 1984.
She is fluent in Dutch, French and English.
