Victoria practises in the area of commercial and corporate litigation with an emphasis on insolvency and reconstruction. She also co-leads Jackson McDonald’s team specialising in secured recoveries and enforcement of securities.

Victoria works with insolvency practitioners, directors and creditors in administrations, liquidations and receiverships. She is experienced in drafting and advising on deeds of company arrangement and advising and representing clients in relation to the various issues that arise in insolvencies.

Dr. Michelle Chen is a Squire Sanders’ London based partner. She is a dual England and China qualified lawyer specializes in China related cross border transactions.

Michelle previously served as an international law legal advisor to the Chinese central government and as Group Legal Counsel of a fortune 500 multi-national conglomerate responsible for its China operations. Prior to joining Squire Sanders, Michelle was the Head of China Practice for two well known international law firms based in London. Michelle has acted on a wide range of international cross border transactions with deal size ranging from multi-million to multi-billion pound.

Debbie completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours majoring in chemistry from the University of Melbourne before commencing her training as a patent attorney in 1988. She registered as a patent attorney in 1993 and became a principal of Griffith Hack in 2003.Debbie has primarily practised as a patent attorney in the fields of chemistry and pharmaceuticals. She has extensive experience in the drafting and prosecution of both local and overseas patent applications.

Sandra Appel has over three decades of experience advising on corporate and commercial matters including corporate governance and shareholder relations, secured financings, restructuring of businesses and distribution and franchising arrangements in a wide variety of industries including electronics, hospitality, automotive, building materials, photographic supplies and machine tools and tooling. Sandra has focussed on providing general counsel services to many significant Canadian companies and Canadian subsidiaries of international companies based principally in the United States and Japan.

Emilie Meridjen-Mamane regularly advises private companies on day-to-day issues such as reorganization, collective bargaining, individual and collective labor litigation and human resources auditing, litigation.

She has developed an expertise in labour law aspects of restructuring and external growth projects.

Sandrine de Sousa specializes M&A, Private Equity and securities law.She is recognized in particular for her expertise in mergers and acquisitions (domestic and cross-border transactions), joint ventures, partnerships and reorganizations, private equity operations, IPOs, mixed securities issuances, involving listed and non-listed companies

Louise Groom specialises in Cayman Islands law. She has a broad range of onshore and offshore experience and regularly advises local and international banking and commercial clients on Cayman Islands legal aspects of finance transactions (secured lending, asset finance, project finance, acquisition finance and structured finance) and corporate transactions (corporate restructurings and reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, strategic joint ventures, takeovers and stock exchange listings). Prior to joining Harneys in 2011, Louise worked as an associate with Walkers in its Cayman office for 3 years.

Indira frequently advises on multi-million dollar transactions. Recent experience includes advising Delancey, the specialist real estate investment and advisory company, on its US$892 million acquisition of the London Olympic Village as a joint venture with Qatari Diar and advising the borrower in a real estate financing involving VTB France (S.A.) and Lesnaya Plaza in Moscow.
