Two new partners from Ecuadorian law firm Perez Butamante & Ponce join WLN.

Cécile Berger Meyer studied law at the University of Fribourg. She completed her legal training in Geneva within Lenz & Staehelin’s real estate and mergers & acquisitions departments between 2002 and 2004 and was subsequently admitted to the Geneva Bar in 2004.

Renata Moreira Lima holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Post-Graduate degree in International Business Law from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP-SP), and a Master’s Degree  (LL.M.) in Law from the University of Michigan, U.S.A., Renata was member of Mayer Brown LLP in Chicago, U.S.A., and Rulli & Moretti Advogados. Renata attended the specialization program at Georgetown University Law Center – Division of Continuing Legal Education: Analysing Contracts,

Arabella is Managing Partner of Maples and Calder's BVI office, and head of the BVI litigation and trusts practice groups.  She specialises in complex international commercial litigation, including insolvency, distressed funds, shareholder issues, asset tracing, trust disputes, insurance and reinsurance, professional negligence and contractual claims.  She has considerable arbitration and mediation experience and is a solicitor-advocate.

Alison heads the DWF Aviation team and has over 25 years' experience in aviation, asset finance and leasing, acting for operators, owners, financiers, lessors and lessees in relation to all aspects of the leasing, financing, acquisition and disposal of new and used large commercial jet aircraft, business jet aircraft and aircraft engines, including all commercial agreements relating to their operation.

Mireille Buydens heads with Hans Dhondt the Intellectual Property and IT Practice at Janson Baugniet. She is particularly recognised for her expertise in the field of patents, trademarks and copyright with extensive experience in complex IP transactions.

Kenra Parris-Whittaker, partner, is a seasoned young litigator with an exceptional track record across all practice areas. Her dedicated and rigorous approach has been crucial to the Firm’s success.

Mariela obtained her law degree at Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina Santa María de los Buenos Aires, Facultad de Derecho (Argentina) in 1998 with honors.  She also has several post-graduate studies in finance, banking and antitrust.

Marie-Josée Hogue is a member of Heenan Blaikie’s Litigation group and Executive Committee. She has been awarded the distinction of Lawyer Emeritus from the Barreau du Québec and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
