Cindy Shu Qi ZHEN is the partner of Beijing WAN HUI DA (Shanghai) Law Firm.
Cindy’s practice primarily focuses on developing and formulating comprehensive strategies for intellectual property (“IP”) protection; resolving IP disputes; planning, formulating and executing brand creation, expansion, exploitation and globalization strategy; and managing IP portfolio.
Cindy has been practising intellectual property laws since 1998. She used to serve the IP Group of Baker & McKenzie for around 10 years, representing the IP interests of over 30 international clients covering wide industry and some Fortune 500 Corporations in various administrative and legal actions, as well as non-contentious matters.
Cindy later joined Diageo Plc as its Regional IP Legal Director, looking after Diageo’s IP matters in Greater China and North Asia. Prior to joining WAN HUI DA, Cindy served as the IP & Regulatory Legal Counsel for The Hershey Company, overseeing its IP, product advertising and regulatory matters in Asia, EU, Middle East and Africa region.
In the capacity of in-house counsel of the multinationals, Cindy routinely took a lead in the corporation’s global IP projects initiated from the responsible regions and collaborated on a frequent basis, internal and external resources to cater to the corporation’s various IP demands.
