Ms. Mata-Perez was born in Cebu City, Philippines. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the Philippine bar. She has worked as an auditor in SGV & Co., and as Senior Associate at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan. She has been a consistent honor student, having graduated valedictorian in her elementary and high school class, summa cum laude (Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in accounting) in the University of San Carlos, Cebu City.
She had extensive experience in corporate practice, mergers, acquisitions, contract negotiations, and in all areas of taxation.
She is active in other associations, like the Financial Executives of the Philippines (where she heads the Tax and Legal Committee), Tax Management Association of the Philippines (where she is a past president), Asia-Oceana Tax Consultants Association (where she is currently the Vice President), Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals.
She has published several articles in law and technical journals.
Her interests include reading, running and travelling.
She is married to Gregorio Perez, who is the Chief Finance Officer of Solar Entertainment, and is a mother to three children.

Euney, the managing partner of the Firm, is also a certified public accountant, and a seasoned tax, corporate and transaction counsel. She has handled numerous corporate and infrastructure projects, as well as all aspects of the tax practice in the Philippines. She has been ranked by Chambers & Partners as a notable tax practitioner in the Philippines, and described as one who “really knows tax law, and is a magnificent lawyer.”
Euney was the salutatorian of her law class at the Ateneo Law School and graduated summa cum laude in her BS Commerce class, major in accounting, at the University of San Carlos. She also worked as an auditor at SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co.
Gary, is also an experienced transactional, corporate, labor and litigation lawyer, who graduated with honors from the Ateneo Law School. He obtained a Masters in Law degree from the Columbia University School of Law in New York and is a member of the New York State bar.
