I have been practising law since 2007. I was associated with one of the oldest law firms in India i.e., Wadia Ghandy & Co. for 6 years prior to my association with J. Sagar Associates. Prior to Wadia Ghandy & Co., I was associated with a Chennai based law firm named HSB Partners for a year. Prior to HSB Partners, I had the opportunity to do a 12 month Judicial clerkship wherein I assisted Her Ladyships Mrs. Justice Prabha Sridevan, (then) Sitting Judge, High Court of Judicature at Madras, Chennai. During this clerkship, I also had an opportunity to assist His Lordships Mr. Justice K. Chandru, Sitting Judge, High Court of Judicature at Madras, Chennai, India, for about 6 weeks.
Practising law over a period of 10 plus years, I have had a virtuous exposure in different practise areas across sectors. I have handled several high value transactions, India leg acquisitions, structuring of transactions, foreign and domestic investments, primary issuance, secondary sale, and have also advised on general corporate matters, labour and employment matters, insolvency matters etc. I have further advised domestic and international clients in lending transactions (secured & mezzanine), real estate transactions (including diligences, transaction documentation, including commercial leasing and sale transactions), project finance, security creation and joint ventures. I have also represented clients in commercial litigations and debt recovery matters.
