Born Quito, Ecuador 1962; admitted, 1986, Ecuador. Pérez Bustamante & Ponce Abogados (formerly Fabián Ponce O. & Asociados, which merged with Pérez Bustamante y Pérez in 2001), since 1983. Worked in the law firm as a paralegal, later as an associate, and since 1987 as a partner.

Corporate - Assisted local and foreign clients with incorporation of companies, capital increases, mergers, liquidations, and corporate structures enabling project management.
Project Financing – Assisted clients in the financing of infrastructure projects s(Hydro Quebec-ABB-Kravner-Andrade Gutierrez Consortium); the new Quito airport project (Corporación Quiport S.A.); Baba Dam and Pilatón-Toachi Project (Odebrecht). Advised clients in connection with privatizations and concessions. Acted as external advisor to the President of the National Council for Modernization of the State (CONAM).
Telecommunications – Advised different clients Participated in the drafting of the Telecommunications Law and its regulations. Acted as legal advisor to Microsoft

Education: Catholic University of Ecuador (Commercial Engineer, Specialist in Auditing – Certified Public Accountant, 1987).
Professional activities:
Tax and financial assistance, tax due diligence examinations, tax compliance obligations review and support in inspections by the Regulatory Entities.
Fifteen years of experience in PricewaterhouseCoopers until 2002 in audit planning and supervision under US, Canadian, Argentinean and international accounting principles and due diligence examinations. Tax assistance jointly with the tax department to the clients in charge at PWC.
Participation in PricewaterhouseCoopers professional exchange programs in Calgary (one year), Dallas (two months) and Bogota (one month).
Tax and accounting courses lecturer in the country and abroad.
Member of the National Federation of Accountants of Ecuador.
