I am primarily a transaction lawyer specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and debt financing.
I have had the opportunity to work across sectors like telecom, manufacturing, healthcare, edtech, housing finance companies, real estate, NBFCs and banking.
I have worked on and led multi-jurisdictional transactions across Asia and Africa.
I have the experience of working in diverse work cultures including engagements with American investment banks, Japanese financial services groups, private equity funds, Indian and multinational companies, multilateral financial institutions, African telecom companies and interactions with governmental authorities in India, Nepal and Africa.
Prior to moving to TT&A in August 2022, I worked with AZB & Partners for over 16 years.
Deepa Christopher
Deepa Christopher is a Partner with the firm’s corporate team advising on a variety of corporate and commercial matters including incorporations,joint ventures, acquisitions and disposals, foreign exchange laws,commercial contracts, employment advice and data protection related matters.
She has expertise in the insurance sector and has advised a number of leading foreign insurance partners on their Indian insurance joint ventures.
Deepa also has extensive experience advising on the developing data privacy legal regime in India and has advised companies from different sectors on a variety of data privacy issues and has also conducted conducting training sessions for employees.
Nidhi Rani
Nidhi Rani is a partner in the banking and finance practice at TT&A with extensive experience in advising on domestic as well as cross-border transactions.
Her experience includes advising banks, alternative finance providers and borrowers on acquisition finance, structured finance, and project finance in the domestic and international markets.
Pallavi Meena
My alma mater is National Law School of India University, Bangalore from where I obtained my law degree in 2007.
I have around 14 years of experience and expertise in advising on several crossborder financings across various sectors, including the infrastructure and financial services sector, under the external commercial borrowings and the foreign portfolio investment routes. Apart from corporate financings, including credit enhanced financings and debenture issuances, I also have extensive experience and expertise in handling cross-border project financings, particularly in the renewables sector. I have advised several developmental financial institutions and multilaterals and countmy k reputed foreign institutional lenders such as United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Export Development Canada (EDC) International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Last but certainly not the least, I am a proud mother to two beautiful girls who are the centre of my universe (only when they are well behaved!!)
Sonali Mahapatra
Sonali Mahapatra heads the banking and finance practice at TT&A with wide experience in Indian and international financings across the financing spectrum.
Her market leading experience includes advising banks, alternative finance providers and borrowers on acquisition finance, structured finance, project and asset finance and trade finance in the domestic and international markets.
She is regarded as a trusted adviser to a number of institutions and is the first port of call for complex, high-value structured finance deals.
Sonam Mathur
Sonam Mathur is a partner and leads the competition law practice at TT&A.
She advises clients on a diverse range of issues including complex merger control transactions (with phase II investigations and remedies), and investigations into cartel and abuse of dominance allegations. She has also been involved in cases relating to leniency/whiste-blowers. She regularly advises clients on compliance with the Indian competition law.
Sonam has successfully advised and represented Indian and multinational clients before the Competition Commission of India, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, State High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.
