R.V. Anuradha
R.V. Anuradha is Partner at Clarus Law Associates, New Delhi, and heads her Firm’s practice in International Trade and Investment Law and Policy. She also has an active practice in Environmental regulation, including in the areas of carbon financing and renewable energy.
Anuradha advises companies, industry associations and the Government of India on issues arising under the WTO Agreements, Free Trade Agreements, and Bilateral Investment Protection Agreements, including disputes arising under such agreements. In the area of environmental law and policy, she has adviced on the development and financing of renewable energy projects, particularly in the solar and waste-to-energy sectors.
She also undertakes policy analysis on trade and investment related issues for the Commonwealth Secretariat, Centre for WTO Studies- IIFT, the Indian Council for International Economic Relations (ICRIER) and export promotion associations in India.
Anuradha is a member of the International Law Association’s Committee on Sustainable Development and Green Economy, and of the Trade Policy Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). She is also a member of the Asia WTO Research Network.
She also teaches at various training sessions and capacity building programs on trade law and policy for government officials organized by the Centre for WTO Studies-IIFT, and at the Joint Academy on international trade law and policy conducted by the World Trade Institute, Berne, in collaboration with the Centre for WTO Studies. She also writes extensively on trade and investment related issues.
Anuradha graduated from the National Law School of India University in 1995. She holds a masters degree from the University of London in Law and Development (1996), and from the New York University School of Law in International Economic Laws (2002).
Sumiti Yadava
Sumiti Yadava focuses on project development and project financing transactions, and general corporate law. She has over 12 years of experience, and combines her knowledge of corporate law with sector-specific laws, to enable effective structuring of project transactions and investments in the infrastructure sectors of Energy and Urban Infrastructure.
She completed B.A.LLB (Hons.) from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, India (2007), and also holds a Dual Degree LL.M. in Law and Global Economy, New York University (NYU) School of Law, and National University Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Law (2009).
Sumiti has extensive experience in the natural gas sector, urban infrastructure sector and the environment infrastructure sector, and advises on disputes arising in these sectors. Her experience includes providing advice on structuring of transactions, drafting, bid evaluation, and negotiation of project documents, financing and security creation documents as well as all types of commercial/corporate/investment agreements for transactions related to oil and gas, urban infrastructure, roads, inland waterways, Special Economic Zones, township development and real estate projects.

Both Piyush and Anuradha graduated from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, India, in 1995. Sumiti graduated from NALSAR, Hyderabad in 2007 and holds a dual masters degree from the National University of Singapore and the New York University School of Law.

The Firm has also represented the Government of India in disputes at the WTO and in investor-to-state-dispute settlement under bilateral investment treaties.
The Firm also has a niche practice in advising on environmental infrastructure projects, as well as renewable energy projects, with specific focus on the waste-to-energy sector.
