Patrycja Goździowska
Patrycja Goździowska specialises in providing comprehensive advice to both individual and corporate investors on mergers and acquisitions, devising capital and financial structures, restructuring projects and financing investments.
She devised strategies and provided day-to-day assistance in relation to several mergers and acquisitions (the subject of which were shares, selected assets and enterprises) and restructurings, to improve the effectiveness of personal tax burdens of private investors and tax burdens connected with regular business operations, the distribution of profits and exit options.
She is an active member of the International Fiscal Association, a member of the Tax Board of the PKPP Lewiatan and Vice-President of the CIT/PIT Group.
Patrycja has been distinguished by international and local rankings and guides. The International Tax Review in the Women in Tax Leaders ranking has recommended her every year since 2017. She is recommended as “Highly Regarded” in the “Women in tax” area according to World Tax 2023. Chambers and Partners recommends her in their Europe and High Net Worth editions.
In the 2022 ranking of best tax advisors, conducted by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, she was recommended in the International tax law category. In 2021 and 2022 she was the winner of the National Ranking of Tax Consultancy Companies in the PIT category, organized by the Rzeczpospolita daily; in 2023, she was a recommended tax advisor in categories PIT and International Tax Law.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University.
Katarzyna Szczudlik
Katarzyna Szczudlik, FIP, LLM, CIPP/E, CIPM is a head of FinTech and Data protection and a co-head of TMT practices of SSW Pragmatic Solutions. She specialises in advising on personal data protection, privacy, cybersecurity and new technologies law, especially for entities from the financial, FinTech, energy, FMCG sectors. Katarzyna has experience in advising entities from the telecommunications, IT and payment services sectors. She has developed and implemented comprehensive procedures, mechanisms and documentation to ensure the compliance of many organizations’ operations with applicable regulations. She assisted her Client in proceedings before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, Polish Data Protection Authority and General Inspector of Financial Information (AML- related matters).
She has experience in preparing and negotiating IT contracts – including implementing cloud services and software licenses projects. She supports financial institutions as regards outsourcing regulations and cloud computing.
She has significant experience is advising on blockchain technology and artificial intelligence projects – from a regulatory and contractual perspective.
Katarzyna is the author of several dozen articles and studies on the law of new technologies, personal data protection and dispute resolution. She is a regular speaker at Polish and international conferences.
Before joining SSW, she gained experience at notable Polish and international law firms.
She is a member of the IAPP and holds CIPP / E and CIPM certificates, as well as FIP accreditation. Her recognitions include:
