Ms. Zhao has comprehensive experience in handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, which include, without limitation, helping clients establish and improve employment-related rules, policies and documents (including employment contracts, offer letters, confidentiality and non-competition agreements, training agreements, labor dispatch agreements, labor outsourcing agreements, employee handbooks, etc.); providing legal advice with respect to the clients’ daily labor and employment questions (including questions related to recruitment, salary and benefits, employee stock incentive, rest and vacation, training, work-related injury, social insurance, employment of expatriates, labor dispatch, amendment of employment terms and termination of employment, etc.); conducting legal due diligence in terms of labor and employment aspects to facilitate various commercial transactions such as equity transfer, assets sale, restructuring and shut-down of companies, advising on personnel arrangement and compensation strategies tailored to different transactions, and supporting the implementation of the strategies; making employees layoff plans; participating in the investigation of employees’ misconducts and advising on disciplinary actions on employees; representing clients in labor disputes arbitration, litigation and settlement; etc.
Ms. Zhao also has plentiful experience in the area of corporate law. She used to provide perennial legal service for a few enterprises and represented a few clients in handling legal matters in connection with their onshore and offshore investment transactions. Such corporate law experience equips her with business acumen and enables her to advice on labor and employment matters in a practical way fitting clients’ business need.
